against the sun
two birds
soar
black wingtips
tilting
to reveal white backs
coasting
on warm air currents
I admire
envy
how
they surrender
to the wind
movements
in the moment
at ease
I let my heart
drift up
to join them
travelers
disappearing
into the bright
blue
