miraculous
The pelicans
more majestic
than any ship
sailing serene
a silver trail
marking
their passage
amid golden
curls
of mist
rising from water
Along
the trail
prairie coneflowers
bloom
like fireworks
frozen in flight
My heart feels
too small
to hold this beauty
and overflows
like the river
rushing
with new rains
