Acrobats

 

Leaves somersault

Just a flip or two

as if stealthily

making an escape

from 

the newly melted drifts

Lanky oak leaves

and maple leaf hands

A ball

of hydrangea blossom

How far

have they tumbled?

Where will tomorrow's storm

carry them?
